HC-SR501 PIR
Anybody having issues with PIR not working in Smart House project.
Program seems to work but I have to physically touch the PIR to get operation.
Looking at PIR pinout (left to right and following diagram in E-book) gnd, pin 14, Vbus is how I hooked it up.
Measured 5Vdc at PIR so that's OK.
Thoughts?

Hello @barriereg,
Have you ever adjusted the sensitivity of the PIR sensor? The link below shows how to do it.
If it still doesn't work properly, please let us know.
Have a nice day.

Thanks I'll try that
stay tuned,

From E-book (page150) Vcc is on left and Gnd is on Right.
The diag in the sensitivity adj is opposite.
Is this my issue?

There are no markings on circuit board

from this diag (p.150 E-book) Vcc is on right. The sensitivity adj diag is on left.

Confirmed E-book is correct
This circuit board unlike mine is marked it matches e-book

Instead of building the diode circuit, I ran this in micro blocks.
I could not get it to detect any movement with any adjustment.
Once I touch the PIR it detects, and I get a True. The test above resets after 2 seconds (I get 123 displayed) and again the only way I get it to say True is to touch the PIR.

Hello @barriereg,
Can you test the PIR sensor with the code I added below. You need to make the PIR sensor connections as follows.
VCC-VBUS, GND-GND, OUT-GP14
Please test the PIR sensor directly without connecting the gas sensor.
Thanks.

Hi @barriereg, when I first used the PIR I had the same experience when using the project from the ebook. I already left the smoke sensor out when I start testing. I had to touch the PIR itself to make it work. This time I used just the ubp-file from @ozerngg and got a really sensitive and good working PIR.
Didn't use the "screws" to play with the sensitivity and delay at the moment.

Hi @PeterMathijssen ,I've been away from home for the 2 last weeks. I did not use smoke detector either (not in the kit I got). So, robotistan sent you a new PIR?

No, my PIR worked when I used the script from @ozerngg.
